Job Description: Social Media Intern

The Meadows Farmers Market is looking for a creative art student to join our team. We are looking for an intern who is enthusiastic about sustainability and supporting our local businesses. The social media intern will be given the opportunity to use their creative skills to elevate our project, so we can reach more people in our community for Season 3 from December 2024- April 2025.

Position Summary:

The Social Media Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
Design engaging graphics for social media, newsletters, etc.
Help manage social media channels
Growth hack to build online following
Report on the performance of social posts
Help develop a social strategy for each month
Assist in the design of marketing materials and project needs
Photograph what is happening at the market on Sundays when we are open.

Job Requirements:
Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software.
Basic knowledge of social media platforms and upcoming trends
Writing and proofing skills required
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
Organized, dependable and detail oriented
Team Player
Quick Learner and Efficient
Able to work well under pressure
